beautiful scenery but subtitles for dialogue desperately needed
29 April 2024
As this film is shown in other places than Ireland - it should have had subtitles as a matter of course. There are too many sections of the dialogue which are rendered incomprehensible by the heavy Irish accents. This is a huge shame as it detracts from one being able to accurately follow the storyline. This makes it hard to follow the relationships between the community.

It is however a beautifully staged movie in pace of life in Ireland, lifestyle there and the stunning scenery. One could almost breathe in the clear air.

Just not understand dialogue - very frustrating. Hopefully this could be remedied and it would then - and only then - rival some glorious french film that have subtitles.
