I was a child when this aired. I typically love nostalgic shows, allowing for the era in which they were produced. I tried, but could not warm to this show. They completely overdid the 'male joi de vivre' and hyperactivity. Tempers-- also overdone and over-acted. Stereotypes abound -- the gossip, the giggling girl, the irritable gas station owner, the ebullient Howie, the over-the-top Tom-- I can see why it was cancelled. It's too bad-- with a lighter hand it could have been a good premise. Take-away- it got on my nerves- I found myself always irritated with a knot in my stomach afterwards. Sad.
