Honestly, this chapter... Wasn't it.. unlike other people who absolutely liked the chapter, I was inbetween, This chapter still had some flaws that have to be pointed out right "meow" (I have to stop)
So in the intro sequence, We get introduced to the bad guy of the chapter, "Catnap" So now we know that the chapter is about him, The game starts with catnap throwing our hero into the garbage chute, So Now.. this is how our story starts
Let me already move on to the cons..
First, Some of the areas were too dark and the gas mask is not utilized often, Despite the chapter being named "DEEP SLEEP" the red gas also barely appeared by the way, Moving on, the optimization wasnt good. And the puzzles (While clever) Should've been lighter, I dont understand why the trophies from the 2nd chapter werent there! Those were literally there for "replay value" Which this game lacks as the only thing to do after beating the game was collect tapes,
I understand that catnap is meant to be a looming threat, But her barely even showed up in his chapter! He never felt like a "threat" unlike mommy amd huggy, Neither was he villianous,
Speaking of catnap, there is miss delight, Who is pretty... "Delightful" (GOSH DANGIT) and was scarier than catnap ever was, Dogday also appears and his chase sequence is absolute crap,
Alright with this outta the way, lets get to catnap's bossfight, This didn't feel like a bossfight at all! It was just walking back and forth in a fnaf-like survival where you gotta use batteries to defend yourself, this sequence is very tedious as the same can be said too the hand-swapping, Why dont you get to fight the monster? Wouldn't that also have been character development for the hero?? It would've been awesome for us to go from "running from monsters too developing into a total badass"
Mentioning that, None of the characters get character development and have no personality, or likeable traits, kissy and poppy barely help you throughout the adventure, Ollie's voice is annoying, Catnap being absent from the chapter, Perhaps he was doing netflix and chill and forgot that he was the main threat!
BUT I didnt give this a five for nothing, This still has some pros,
Graphics were imoroved, good sound deesign, some fun mechanics, Well thought out puzzles, And great animation, If ut wasn't for these I would've rated it lower.
Overall, I honestly liked the 2nd chapter more despite the 3rd one being the glow up, There's not alot of replay value, it felt tedious, dark areas, and barely anything was utilized, Its sad also because this chapter could've been.. (PAW)less (I cant stop, seriously...)
