As a rule, when a TV show centers on a wedding or the birth of a baby, I'm out of there. I always think it allows the writers to take a break because the viewers seem to enjoy these things, and not much is asked from the script. But this one really got to me. The way things were handled was quite touching. For one thing we get to see Randall and Beth in a car, heading across the desert, keeping Madison occupied while she waited to give birth. And, of course, there was the final appearance of Kevin who was there for the births. We also have the stresses of Kate who until the very end thought perhaps the mother may change her mind. Also, Toby in the hospital parking lot connecting with a man who was distressed over his wife being on a ventilator with covid. The man was initially angry but they eventually developed a closeness.

Subplots were Rebecca and Miguel waiting at the cabin for news, and a flashback to when the kids began to move away from the parents in normal teenage fashion. Also, a look at the development of a marriage between a man who developed the algorithm to use the internet for visual transference. This seemed out of place until we realize what a gift to the world this proved to be.
