In the mountain Kingdom of Monteblanco, Prince Danilo falls for dancer Sally O'Hara. His uncle King Nikita and Queen Milena object to his marriage proposal. She instead marries the elderly and feeble Baron Sadoja who is the richest man in the country.
This is a silent film romantic drama. There are moments of comedy although IMDB is not listing this movie as such. It has a certain scale of production. I don't like the Prince or any of the men. The doppalganger joke is not as funny because it's actually a problem for the movie. The men are all drunken creeps in the military. The prince is marginally better by comparison. She's fine. She's great actually and I get it. She's being wooed by the rich and powerful. More than anything for this movie, I'm trying to spot Joan Crawford and Clark Gable who are working as extras. No joy there.
