- The Tanners invite Cindy and Rusty over again for a backyard barbecue. Rusty writes a phony love letter which causes confusion as each member of the household reads it in turn, all believing it to be from a different person.

Stephanie is very heartbroken over the loss and everyone is wondering why she's so attached to Mr. Bear, but eventually, everyone learns why.
- It is finally Michelle's Flintstone themed fifth birthday party. D.J. dresses up as Wilma. Stephanie dresses up as Betty. Danny dresses up as Dino. Jesse dresses up as Fred. Comet has a dinosaur costume on. The kids dress up as cave people. Just as Jesse plans to go downstairs to celebrate Michelle's birthday, Becky goes into labor and he gets sick, but we soon learn that he has appendicitis. Michelle has to cut her birthday short, but she doesn't mind because her new twin cousins, Nicky and Alex, get to share it with her. She especially can't wait because triple the birthday means triple the cake.
- Jesse and Becky decide to marry each other secretly right away. DJ and Steph are easily aware that they are hiding something and play detectives.
- When Danny Tanner's wife Pamela is killed in an auto accident, he finds himself left all alone to raise his three daughters: D.J., Stephanie, and baby Michelle. Fortunately Danny's hair-obsessed, rock-star brother in-law Jesse Cochran, along with Danny's flamboyant, cartoon loving friend Joey Gladstone, move in to help Danny raise his girls. On the first day, D.J. runs away, and Jesse and Joey find extreme difficulty and anxiety in changing Michelle.

While getting ready, DJ asks Danny if she can babysit Stephanie and Michelle during the dinner date and Danny agrees. In addition, Danny is pondering if he should take his wedding ring off. Jesse says he should, so Danny reluctantly takes it off and leaves it on his desk. When the women arrive, Joey is paired with Zoey and Jesse with Cheryl. Problems arise because Zoey is not amused with Joey's humor or voice impressions: Cheryl isn't thrilled with Jesse and Denise turns out to be Jesse's ex-girlfriend and she still has feelings for him. Meanwhille, Stephanie and Michelle, dress up like Danny wearing his clothes and jewelry. DJ stops them in the bathroom and while taking Danny's watch and wedding ring off Stepahnie, she accidentally drops Danny's wedding ring in the sink and it goes down the drain and now she has to figure out how to get her Dad's wedding ring back.

- When Danny wins Bacholor of the month, he suddenly gets a bunch of dates. Michelle is upset though because she has to be put to bed by DJ and Stephanie and the aren't quite the same. Jesse and Rebecca think that they are Mighty Dad and Mighty Mama. Then they introduce the twins to their new nursery. And soon they realize that having twins isn't quite as easy as they initially assumed. Michelle decides to sneak out with friend, Teddy, and they go on Danny's date as well.
- Comet, the dog, runs away. The Rippers no longer want Jesse in their band. D.J. ends a relationship with a rich boyfriend.

- In this episode, Stephanie pleads Danny to let her take an intense dance program, but Danny only gives in because he wasn't able to fulfill his dream of being a high jumper. Soon Stephanie decides that she doesn't want to do the intense program any more because it consumes too much of her life, but Danny is living his dreams simultaneously through her. so Stephanie purposely screws up so that she might not have to dance anymore. Becky wants Jesse to come to her baby shower but everyone knows that Jesse would never want to come, so she tricks him into coming. But Michelle gives in to telling Jesse the truth when he bribes her with ice cream.
- Jesse uses baby Michelle to get a date with one of Danny's co-workers.
- Stephanie allows Kimmy to pierce her ears so she can impress her friends, the two Jennifers. However, Stephanie's piercing gets infected and Michelle tells DJ about the incident. Stephanie finally tells her father about Kimmy piercing her ears and he becomes shocked over her infected piercing. Stephanie tells her father that she doesn't like being compared to DJ, causing Danny to realize the situation. Danny agrees to analyze every situation with Stephanie more carefully. Danny takes Stephanie to the doctor to get her piercings treated, but she also gets grounded for disobeying him. Meanwhile, Jesse becomes reluctant on giving Nicky and Alex a haircut. Jesse and Becky go to a kid's barber shop run by Joey's uncle, Nicky and Alex finally get their first haircut.
- While broadcasting a national fight, Danny lets some information about the fighter's home life slip out that could get him in a lot of trouble. Meanwhile, on the home front Joey and Jesse worry when Michelle develops a cough.

The next day when her friends come over to work on a school project, Walter shows up just before everyone else and they find him holding her hand.

- The family takes a trip to Disney World, but their trip doesn't go as planned: Danny is having a hard time proposing to Vicky, Jesse neglects Becky on their anniversary, and Stephanie becomes jealous of Michelle for cheating her way to become princess for a day by cutting in front of her to meet the Genie. DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie are sick and tired of Michelle's selfishness and for letting her have her way. Michelle runs away to have her own fun, but her disappearance doesn't go unnoticed by her father or her sisters.

Jesse debates what to name his twins, when they are born, and accidentally reveals to DJ that he has a secret about his past. We later find out that he got his name changed in kindergarten.

- DJ and Kimmy are doing a program that encourages kids to stay in school, so they ask Jesse and Joey to talk about it on their radio show, but Jesse refuses. When Jesse admits that the reason he won't do the show is because he didn't stay in school, the family encourages him to finish school. Unfortunately however, when he goes back to high school, his teacher turns out to be the teacher that caused him to drop out of school. When his teacher embarrasses and insults Jesse, Jesse asks for the bathroom pass and says "See ya in 10 years". When Michelle, who is learning to tie her shoes, finds out that Jesse dropped out again, she gives up on tying her shoes because she thinks ok because Jesse quit. In the end, Jesse and Michelle talk and Jesse ends up going back to night school and Michelle keeps on trying to tie her shoes, but is not successful.
- Danny, Jesse and Joey search the drive-in for D.J., who is out with a boy who's never heard the word "No", while Kimmy Gibbler has been left to babysit Nicky and Alex, but it's Stephanie who ends up doing all the work.
- Joey gets D.J. a car for her birthday, but the police show up with the news it's stolen and suspect Joey of being the thief. When the Tanners attempt to prove his innocence, Joey gets the impression that he's not appreciated in the family.

The manager of the movie theater catches them and DJ has to cut the date short. Then she has to teach her sisters to lie so that she doesn't get caught.

She gives in and then it stings and she yells at him again. Becky and Jesse decide to take the twins on their first car ride. A spontaneous one. But after two hours of packing up and getting prepared spontaneous isn't exactly the word to describe their trip.
- When Joey leaves for Los Angeles to begin filming his new television series with a prolific actor, the rest of the Tanner family decides to join him.
- Jesse tries to stop Rebecca from bungee jumping--but thinks it's okay if he takes risks. Michelle cons her dad into letting her go to a rock concert.
