Frances is being married to Sid against her wishes. Bobby, the suitor whom papa doesn't want, dashes up in his little roadster, with two traffic cops after him, grabs Frances a la Lochinvar, and they start out to find a minister to marry them. A combination of fast driving and ditto love making, doesn't work very well and a farmer wagon full of hay and big and little pigs is cut in two by the ferocious little Ford. When they clear off the wreckage, Bobby is hugging Mrs. Pig and telling her he can't live without her. These barnyard complications gotten rid of, they again take to the road and by now Frances' father, her erstwhile groom, and a few policemen are hot on the trail. They finally arrive at a minister's home and he proceeds to perform the ceremony. Just as Bobby reaches for Frances' hand to slip on the ring, her father rushes in the door and grabs her away, and Bobby, not seeing this, takes hold of the colored maid's hand instead, who is standing up as a witness. Realizing what has happened, Bobby starts out in hot pursuit. The bridal party reach the house and start the wedding again. Bobby has gotten there first tho' and hidden under a table. He again tries to run off with Frances but is unsuccessful, as the burly butler, Eddie, gums up his efforts. A couple of kids are being a little previous and are lighting fire crackers. They throw- a whole pack, lit, right onto the mat in front of the door just as Bobby lands on it. The firecrackers start popping and Bobby runs wild, with Sid and father after him. He runs out to the swimming pool and jumps onto a swing hanging above the water just as his pursuers run right into the pool and receive a good ducking. He goes back to the house, sees Frances in an upper window and gets a ladder. He climbs up but lands in father's room instead. Here he finds boots, etc., and disguises as a liveryman. The kids downstairs throw up a lizard which lands in one of the boots just as Bobby starts to put on the boot. Discovering it, he in turn throws it thru the transom and it lands on mother. After much throwing around of the poor little lizard, Bobby finally gets next to Frances and they make another dash. They get to the swimming pool and Bobby tells Frances to jump for the swing, knowing it has saved him before-but it breaks with the weight of the two of them and they both drop into the pool as we fade out.
