Warren is about to leave his office for the day. Helen awaits him in the outer office. An excited client dashes in and frantically explains that a certain woman about town has some of his letters which must be obtained. Despite Warren's distaste for matters of scandal, he agrees to take the case. At that moment the notorious woman also arrives at the office in her roadster which was a gift from Warren's client. Helen immediately becomes suspicious of the meeting between her husband and the woman in the case. The client leaves - spies his former car and takes it along with him. Arrangements have been made to meet at a resort in order to straighten out matters. Meanwhile, the police have been notified that the car has been stolen and many complications result from the fact that the car changes hands several times as a token of gratitude for the different services rendered. A narrow escape from jail finally brings the two lovers together again and their difficulties are ironed out.
