Set against the backdrops of a popular acting class in an opulent Santa Monica neighborhood and in a West Hollywood night club, Get the Dime explores gender roles in our society, the desire to win at any cost, and the effects of the threat of physical violence. Julius is a talented, though chauvinistic, young actor. Determined to understand the psychology of a character he is about portray in a film, and to gain a real experience, he literally steps into that character's shoes and has one of the most significant and frightening encounters of his life.
