An exceptionally good one
deickemeyer14 December 2019
Chester Conklin has the floor a good part of the time in this picture, which is an exceptionally good one of its kind. Droppington is a stage hand at a country theater, and as a climax to his misdeeds causes the breaking up of the show when in all good faith he turns the full strength of the hose on what he supposes to be a fire in the theater. The fact of the matter is Mephisto was performing some of his magical tricks, hence the smoke. The result is very comical. - The Moving Picture World, April 24, 1915
