This bed of pearls has lost its marbles.

Warning: Spoilers
Headache ensuing sound effects had me wanting to fast forward through musical interludes where native instruments sound like nails down a chalkboard, a baby crying gave me a migraine and complaining heroine Dorothy Burgess squawking about finding that baby which was taken away from her had me cringing. This early talkie has noble pearl trader Johnny Mack Brown marrying the abandoned Burgess, left behind with crying baby, and takes that child away from her because he thinks that she had turned to a life of easy money. You can't expect early talkies to have the quality of later films, but in addition to the nonsensical plot, there's horrendous sound, print quality that has not been blessed over the years, and production values that are pretty non-existent. Any scene involving the kid is worth fast forwarding through. What seemed like it was going to be interesting at the start turns into a dreary bore.
