This hour long C budgeted vision of battles in Florida between the Americans, Spanish and native tribes gets a 5 rating for trying something important and doing an acceptable job of it. You get a lengthy written intro at the beginning of this independent from Crescent Pictures that explains all in the way that basic history 101 would do, adding interest with the mention of then general Andrew Jackson.

Old Hickory, as he was affectionately known, or Bloody, Bloody as he was described in a Broadway musical about his life, is only mentioned and not seen. There's no characters from "The Buccaneer" either, or "The Gorgeous Hussey" or "The President's Lady", other films that dealt with any part of Jackson's life.

The film focuses on an American army captain (Tom Keene) going into the Spanish ruled territory of Florida to rescue his brother (David Sharp) who's been accused of selling arms to the natives. Sharp is barely old enough to be in the military so it's doubtful he's guilty. Keene finds romance with a sultry Spanish senorita (Edna Lawrence), daughter of the governor. Some supposed native chiefs (billed as Chief Flying Cloud and Chief Many Treaties) appear as Indians. Short and sweet, but questionable for educational purposes.
