Writer/director Eli Roth has certainly fallen head over horror for Chilean chills of late. 'Aftershock' and upcoming feature 'The Green Inferno' are both Roth-related horror projects based in the South American country and now his new psychological thriller 'Knock, Knock' is also set to shoot there. The project will be written and directed by Roth and it appears that Keanu Reeves ('The Matrix') is the man to take the lead role as a happily married family man who is left alone for the weekend and has his life turned upside down by two beautiful girls who show up at his house. The two 'beautiful girls' will be played by the sexy Chilean actress Lorenza Izzo ('The Green Inferno') and 'Blind Alley' Cuban hottie Ana de Armas....

After a relatively uninteresting update last week, today's MPAA bulletin has some interesting bits beginning with the Matthew McConaughey starrer and Oscar contender Dallas Buyers Club, Neill Blomkamp's latest sci-fi Elysium starring Matt Damon and Luc Besson's dark comedy thriller The Family. All three earned an R rating paving the way for a string of PG-13s to follow. Kar Wai Wong's Grandmaster, Lee Daniels' The Butler, the recently acquired Parkland and the latest retelling of Romeo and Juliet all received PG-13 ratings. I've included the complete MPAA bulletin for this week directly below. Have a look. Blind Alley Rated R For bloody violence, disturbing images and terror. Butcher Boys Rated R For strong violence, language, some sexual content and nudity. Dallas Buyers Club Rated R For pervasive language, some strong sexual content, nudity and drug use. Release Date: December 6, 2013 Elysium Rated R For strong bloody violence and language throughout.

Phase 4 is waiting to distribute writer/director Antonio Trashorras's new taut Spanish horror flick 'Blind Alley' (Aka 'El callejon'). There's no official Us release date planned just yet but hopefully with this new trailer for the project things will start to move with more haste. The laundrette-based slasher flick stars the gorgeous Ana de Armas (below) who of course manages to slip her top off during the movie for a spin dry or two. Diego Cadavid and Leonor Varela also star in the flick penned by Trashorras who also served as co-writer of Guillermo del Toro's 'The Devil's Backbone'. Head below to check out the new trailer and in case the entire project had slipped your mind we've also chucked up a poster to help refresh your memories....

We've been monitoring Blind Alley's progress for some time and we've shown off plenty of images from the Spanish thriller. The one thing missing? A trailer. We can now remedy that as we have a preview for you after the jump. Honestly, it's a bit wonky and probably gives the whole movie away, but it demonstrates some of the madcap style it's bringing to the table.
Directed by Antonio Trashorras - co-writer of Guillermo del Toro's The Devil's Backbone - Blind Alley was shot in Colombia with stars Ana de Armas, Diego Cadavid and Leonor VarelaIn.

Where would a horror movie be without a classic death scene – or two? We’ve had some great ones over the years: Janet Leigh’s shower to end all showers in Psycho (1960); the ill fated nude swim in Jaws (1975); David Warner’s famous decapitation in The Omen (1976); John Hurt’s serious indigestion problem in Alien (1979); and the exploding head in Scanners (1980). And let’s not forget the gruesome ends that befell pre-stardom Kevin Bacon and Johnny Depp.
Hang on a minute! I’ve just mentioned all the classic ones! Well let’s face it, so much has been written and discussed about those famous demises, they’ve been pretty much done to death (sorry!). Therefore, the following ten are horror-related deaths that deserve some kind of classic status, a couple of which are notable for their surreal and ambiguous nature. But beware...since most of the best death scenes are...

Bette Davis, Joan Blondell, Ann Dvorak, Three on a Match Ann Dvorak on TCM Part I: Scarface, I Was An American Spy Another cool Ann Dvorak performance is her drug addict in Mervyn LeRoy's Three on a Match (1932), which features a great cast that includes Warren William, Joan Blondell, and a pre-stardom Bette Davis. Never, ever light three cigarettes using the same match, or you'll end up like Ann Dvorak, delivering a harrowing performance without getting an Academy Award nomination for your efforts. As Three on a Match's young Ann Dvorak, future Oscar nominee Anne Shirley is billed as Dawn O'Day. (And for those who believe that remakes is something new: Three on a Mach was remade a mere six years later as Broadway Musketeers: John Farrow directed; Ann Sheridan, Marie Wilson, and Margaret Lindsay starred.) I've never watched David Miller's family drama Our Very Own...
