Poor if not outright amateurish, awfully directed and scripted Heimatfilm that is a good example of why this genre has its justly bad reputation. I know that there is a general scheme for the Heimatfilm that has to be kept, but must it really be this bad? All the characters are non-dimensional with all the women no more than silly gooses and the male leads constantly being ruttish, there is a Z-grade cast (the many marmots are better), and the film proceeds terribly slow. Why could not even the editing and cinematography be at least decent?
