Bonnie Goes to School Now she's taken over from her famous mum as the new Blue Peter dog, 7-month-old Bonnie has to be on her best behaviour every Monday and Thursday! Like all golden retrievers, Bonnie's eager to learn and did well at her 'summer school' when top trainer Richard Duckworth put her through her paces. There were some useful tips for Janet, too, as she and Bonnie got to grips with 'sit', 'stay', 'heel' and even retrieving. See how many marks out of ten you'd give them!

Merry Musical Christmas. In the last Blue Peter before Christmas, Janet, Peter, Mark and Caron are dressing up for their variety spectacular - don't miss Mark's rendition of 'On Ilkley Moor baht' at', Caron's 'Rafferty's motor car' and Peter's 'Boiled beef and carrots'. Janet's choice is 'You are my lucky star'. And there's a carol round the tree with the massed choirs of Allfarthing Primary School, Warlingham County Secondary School, Kessingland School, plus the BBC Symphony Chorus and the band of the Chalk Farm Salvation Army.

Blue Peter highlights of 1986 - the year when Peter was winched to the top of the British Telecom Tower - to change the aerial dishes. Janet came face to face with Frankenstein and Mark tackled 20-stone Yasuhiro Yamashita, king of Japan's judo champions. Distinguished guests have included the Vikings, Captain Mike Hatcher who discovered the fabulous Nanking Cargo, Morris Minor and the Majors, A-ha, Claire and Friends, Sean Kerly and Steve Bachelor, heroes of the England hockey team, and Kermit. It's been a year of new faces, as Bonnie, Willow and Caron joined the team and one that will go down in history with Janet's record-breaking freefall.
