Garry starts with a lip-sync routine of Tony Martin, then some New Yorkese words. Fontaine (as John L. C. Sivony) gives a Christopher Columbus monologue and Carol as a tipsy princess does a taped news segment. Marion tries to get an on-set seat while Martin sings. In the "That Wonderful Year" segment, 1921 is saluted with a take off on Rudolph Valentino's film, "The Shiek".

Carol and Durwood start the show by telling us of their recent Emmy award, and regret that this inspires Gary to sing a number, rather badly. Allen and Rossi do an early version of their boxing interview, Striesand sings from a balcony set, and also in the "wonderful year" segment for 1929. Goulet does a Chevalier song-impression.
