- There is no sex or nudity seen on camera, but it is implied. There is an attempted rape and one character is forced into prostitution.
Violence & Gore
- Two different peoples arms get cut off and in both cases their limbs are seen on the ground with blood. The main villains' head gets cut off, rolls off into the dirt, and we see the bloody stump of neck with bone in the middle. Zatoichi gets sliced in the leg by this villain before the decapitation and is seen with a lot of blood coming from the leg wound. There are many other sword fights, almost all of them resulting in someone getting killed, albeit in a stylized way.
