I saw this extremely rare movie when I was in Sydney Australia a few years ago. There was a film festival that was showing movies from the archives.
It takes its lead from the Edgar Allan Poe story, "The Black Cat". It adds some interesting other topics to make it current with the time that it was being filmed (1970s).
Some man comes across a satanist group in the country and he is witness to their ritual. One of the cultists sees him without him noticing. They do not do anything about him, but after he leaves, he starts being followed by a weird black cat.
It causes trouble for him, mentally and physically. It turns out that the cultist put some type of hex on him.
In all, the movie is very low budget, but definitely a curious piece from the era.
