Exclusive: Actor-director Tom Cavanagh is into gaming now — specifically, one that involves what you are searching for on Yahoo these days.
The star from Ed and The Flash is set to host Hey Yahoo!, a new show for the Game Show Network that’s set to premiere early this summer.
The half-hour game features two teams of three players which compete to guess what millions of people are searching for on Yahoo. Contestants are given the first half of a search, and then have to fill in the blank based on what they think America is searching for. For each correct answer, the dollar value of that answer is added to the team’s bank.
At the end of three rounds of play, the team with the most money wins and will go on to the bonus round for a chance to add an extra $10,000 to their winnings.

This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.
When we first met Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, creator Gene Roddenberry and his producers took pains to differentiate him from his 23rd-century predecessor. Where James Tiberius Kirk was all swagger and daring do, squinting dramatically into key lights and romancing ladies with his surely very real and not replicated hair, Picard was bald, patrician, and French.
But even as the show off-loaded Kirk’s galivanting qualities and middle initial to Number One William T. Riker, writers did make clear that neither man would make a good father. Kirk, for all his infamous alien romancing, had truly only one love: the USS Enterprise, with whom he always wanted to spend the rest of his life.

San Francisco, Aug 26 (Ians) In light of the US Supreme Court’s decision to strip federal abortion rights, tech giant Google is rolling out a change and it will now add labels to Search and Map listings for healthcare facilities that provide abortions.
According to TechCrunch, Google said that if it has received confirmation that a healthcare facility provides abortions, the label for the center will say “Provides abortions”.
In cases where Google does not have that confirmation, the label for relevant searches will say “Might not provide abortions”.
The announcement came as US lawmakers have urged the tech giant to fix abortion searches that navigate people to fake clinics and crisis pregnancy centers that steer people away from abortions.
The company said the change is rolling out as part of a series of improvements to how Google displays and labels search results for certain places in Search and Maps.

A state trooper who was part of Andrew Cuomo’s security detail sued the ex-New York governor in a sexual harassment claim, but the lawsuit quickly was revised Friday to include Cuomo’s spokesman as a defendant.
The state trooper’s lawsuit (read it here) claims that Cuomo “used his physical proximity to Trooper 1 to touch her inappropriately,” among other accusations. The trooper, unidentified in the lawsuit, was among the 11 women who accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct in Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation, the results of which ultimately led to his resignation last year.
Cuomo has not been charged with criminal wrongdoing, but there had been the expectation that he would face civil litigation.
After the state trooper filed her lawsuit, represented by the law firm Wigdor Llp, Cuomo’s spokesman, Richard Azzopardi, issued a strongly worded statement on Twitter, noting that authorities found “no violations of law” and saying...

Spoiler Alert: This post contains details about the final series of Search Party, including the finale “Revelation.”
Enlightenment isn’t glorious, but gory and gross look in the series finale of HBO Max’s Search Party.
In the final hours of the dark comedy, created by Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers, Dory (Alia Shawkat) brings about the end of the world, after her quest to spread joy and love in the form of a pill backfires.
In true Search Party fashion, Dory’s intentions to do right by others, and selfishly herself, once again evolve into a much more complicated and fatal scenario that puts everyone around her at risk.
“I hate to say it babe, but you did it again,” Dory’s ever-faithful friend, and brief lover, Portia (Meredith Hagner) says. “Except it’s way worse this time.”
After escaping a fun house riddled with Dory’s disciples-turned-zombies, Portia...

This Search Party review contains no spoilers.
Search Party is an unconventional series that’s followed a unique path from the start, but its fifth and final season is honestly one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen done by a comedy series.
Search Party season 5 is a delirious experiment that’s as if Alejandro Jodorowsky, Charlie Brooker, and Stephen King decided to create a sitcom together, which makes it even harder to believe that this show began as a comedy on TBS about a girl’s journey to find a missing person. Now Alia Shawkat’s Dory Seif wants to find something much loftier: enlightenment for the entire world. The result is not just Search Party’s strongest season, but bold storytelling that solidifies the series’ status as one of the best and most fearless comedies of all time.

Jeff Goldblum joins the absurd world of Search Party in a recurring role for the HBO Max series’ fifth season.
From creators Sarah-Violet Bliss, Charles Rogers and Michael Showalter, Search Party stars Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds, John Early and Meredith Hagner. The first three seasons followed best friends Dory (Shawkat), Drew (Reynolds), Elliott (Early) and Portia (Hagner) through a messy private investigation, semi-accidental murder, absurd cover-up and sensational trial. In Season 4, Dory was held prisoner by her psychotic stalker (Cole Escola), forcing Drew, Elliott and Portia to again become a search party – but this time for Dory.
The Emmy-nominated actor will recur in Season 5 as Tunnel Quinn, a charismatic tech billionaire who enters a very public business partnership with Dory on the other side of her near death experience. Dory folds her old friends Portia, Elliott and Drew into the venture as they embark on an altruistic but terrifying journey.

Beijing, Feb 11 (Ians) After a nearly seven-month voyage from Earth, China's Tianwen-1 probe successfully has entered the orbit around Mars.
After entering the Mars orbit, payloads aboard the orbiter, including cameras and various particle analysers, will next start working and carry out surveys of the planet, Xinhua reported.
"Tianwen-1 entered the orbit around Mars on Wednesday exactly as it was designed," said Zhang Rongqiao, Chief Designer of China's first Mars exploration mission.
"We are looking forward to a successful landing on Mars."
It marks the first time that a Chinese spacecraft has orbited an extraterrestrial planet, he noted.
The development marks China's completion of a key step in its current Mars exploration program, which is designed to complete orbiting, landing and roving in one mission, said the China National Space Administration (Cnsa).

After a Covid-induced delay, viewers finally witnessed the conclusion to The Whisperer War on “The Walking Dead.” Episode 16, “A Certain Doom,” brought an end to Beta (Ryan Hurst) and The Whisperers, but left plenty of dangling threads for fans to ponder. As we look forward to the six newly announced episodes that will be added to Season 10, let’s theorize about the show’s five biggest unanswered questions below.

Fans cheered when Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) made her grand return to the series. She arrived just in time to save Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) from being sliced and diced, but viewers are still scratching their heads over her companion. She had a lieutenant by her side wielding Japanese kama blades, with his face shielded by a metal mask.

How many times have your friends — or you — sworn to take the week off Twitter, only to come rushing back because some huge cultural event has taken place, and you just gotta see all those hot takes? That’s the basic premise of the comedy “Save Yourselves!”, only it’s not a presidential blunder or an awards-show gaffe that our heroes miss while on a digital break: It’s an alien invasion.
And while that’s ultimately a premise that feels like it would have resulted in a great 45-minute short as opposed to a mostly-good 93-minute feature, the movie does find new ways to explore its central theme and to plumb the psyches of its central characters, Jack and Su.

For as memorable as it was, I honestly thought Destroy All Humans! stuck around longer than it did. It felt like a staple of the sixth generation of consoles, and while I wasn’t too familiar with it, I assumed there were a few seventh-gen entries as well. Alas, the series only put out four entries across the two generations before going into deep hibernation. The memorable premise of the series perhaps explains why Thq Nordic decided to reboot the series with the aptly-titled Destroy All Humans! Fans have been waiting, and all developer Black Forest Games needed to do was deliver upon those expectations.
Set in the idealistic world of 1950’s America, Destroy All Humans! explores what would have happened in the event of an alien invasion. Cryptosporidium-137 is a member of the Furon species of extraterrestrials. A dangerous and crafty bunch, the Furons only really end up in...

On December 17, 2017, the second season of TBS’s mystery comedy Search Party concluded with a full steam of momentum. Dory Sief (Alia Shawkat) had just committed a murder to cover up an accidental murder from season 1, and then is promptly arrested (for the first murder that is). As Dory is ushered into the back of a squad car while still wearing a shapely red dress from the night’s festivities, the future looks pretty bleak for her. For the show, however, the future couldn’t have looked brighter.

Call off the search party, Search Party is officially coming back!
We knew as much already of course. Due to corporate consolidation of media onto streaming services, Search Party is one of the rare TV series that go to experience the joy of being renewed twice. As we continue to make our way into June, it’s shaping up to be a bit of a less eventful month for new Netflix releases than May was. But that certainly doesn’t mean viewers have been left wanting for fresh content to sink their teeth into. Far from it, in fact.
We’ve seen some great new additions to the platform over the past few days already and this coming week looks to continue the trend. Admittedly, there’s not quite as much standout material here as we got at the start of the month, but that’s to be expected as the first of any given month is usually the best day when it comes to new drops.

Welcome to the HBO Max era! WarnerMedia’s streaming giant arrived on May 27 and is absolutely bursting with Warner movies, TV shows, and other titles. But time waits for no man or streaming service and each new month HBO Max will be expected to bring new content to the table. Things get started in June 2020 with the first batch of HBO Max new releases.
To be clear, the majority of the original series coming to HBO Max actually belongs to HBO. Shows like I May Destroy You (June 7), Perry Mason (June 21), and I’ll Be Gone in the Dark (June 28) all belong to HBO…which now just happens to be a part of HBO Max. Confusing stuff, we know, but rest assured that if you have HBO Max you’ll get these shows…and if you only have HBO, you can go ahead and just get HBO Max for the same price anyway.

The Mandalorian‘s second season wrapped its shoot before Coronavirus hit, so hopes are high that it won’t be delayed past its late 2020 release window. After the incredible finale of the first season, I can’t wait to see the further adventures of the titular Mandalorian and Baby Yoda. Details of precisely what’s coming are thin on the ground, but the finale established that our heroes would be searching out ‘sorcerors’ (i.e. Jedi) to train Baby Yoda in the Force and that Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon would be in hot pursuit wielding the Darksaber.

Netflix is adding a robust line-up of popular programs to its slate in March.
In addition to rom-coms like Matthew Mcconaughey’s “Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past,” “He’s Just Not That Into You” and “Always a Bridesmaid,” the streamer is also adding a few classics like “Goodfellas” and “The Shawshank Redemption” starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. The latter film also serves as an analogy for actor Macaulay Culkin’s journey to freedom, according to his Esquire interview.
Original Netflix shows coming to the platform next month include “Lost Girls,” “Crip Camp” and Season 3 of “Elite.” Based on a true story, “Lost Girls” follows a mother who, in her desperate search to find her missing daughter, helps to uncover a string of unsolved murders.
Amy Ryan, Gabriel Byrne and Thomasin Mckenzie make up the cast.

With February 29th fast approaching – this is a Leap Year, remember – Netflix is preparing to roll out a fresh helping of new content for March 2020.
It’s a familiar combination of original series, time-honored classics and beloved franchise films, with next month set to herald the arrival of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and its undead sequel, Extinction. Sure, it’s a far cry from the quality and craft of The Lord of the Rings – speaking of which, both the Twin Towers and The Return of the King will be departing Netflix in four weeks’ time – but the saga of Alice still carved out an audience to call its own.
Also peppered throughout Netflix’s March 2020 catalog are some big-name horror titles and edge-of-your-seat thrillers, including Signs and the third season of Ozark. And then there’s the third season of Castlevania, which, it’s fair to say, has been a long time coming.

Exclusive: Amazon has put in development Nobody’s Princess, a musical comedy, which puts a contemporary spin on classic fairytale princesses. The project hails from writer Nicole Delaney, Life Sentence creators Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith, songwriters/screenwriters Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (First Date musical), Fulwell 73 (Late Late Show with James Corden) and CBS TV Studios, where Fulwell 73 is under a deal.
Written and executive produced by Delaney, Cardillo, Keith, Zachary and Weiner, Noboby’s Princess is an irreverent musical comedy that reimagines the stories of four classic fairy tale princesses for today’s generation.
