The opening episode in the series introduces us to G-Force - 5 orphans enlisted to defend the Earth against enemies from the hostile world of Spectra. The first attack comes in the form of the space terrapin - a giant, turtle-like machine heavily armed and able to crush Earth's air & sea defences. G-Force is called in to deal with it, as the sinister Zoltar & the terrapin's C.O., Commander Gorak, attack Earth's shipping lanes and try to steal a substance known as VitaLumen. When G-Force members steal aboard the Terrapin, they find themselves in trouble when they are cornered by Spectran soldiers...

When 2 astronauts returning from a mission disappear on reentry, G-Force is called in to investigate. Chief Anderson warns that the astronauts have probably been captured by Spectra as they had uncovered the location of giant, undetected alien bases on Earth. The data was kept on a tape in the astronauts' capsule but is now in the hands of Commander Gorak and Spectra. G-Force must locate the Spectrans' main base, rescue the astronauts, and find the data tape before it can be returned to Spectra...

An outsized mechanical death machine, the Space Serpent, is causing massive earthquakes and destroying Earth's oil refineries. Mark is sent to investigate with a geologist colleague, who suspects he can locate the source of the problem. The 2 men are caught in a quake and evacuate the building, but the geologist falls into a hole created by the Space Serpent. Despite Mark's best efforts, he is unable to rescue the man and is forced to flee himself. The man's daughter turns her anger on Mark, until the G-Force team brings her face-to-face with Spectra's horrible death machine..

On the remote planet Mir, an underwater station is being built. A series of losses of equipment is delaying its construction, and Intergalactic Federation President Cain suspects that the planet's deposed leader is now in league with Spectra. It turns out he is correct. G-Force flies to Mir to investigate and finds themselves up against a fleet of warships, which self-destruct to release an army of deadly aircraft. The Phoenix quickly runs out of ammunition against the aircraft. Will they be able to escape?

Mark is chosen to test pilot a new aircraft at an airshow. As he starts his takeoff roll, a sinister biplane appears and attacks his plane, crippling it and forcing Mark to bail out over the water. The pilot is the mysterious Captain Doom, a space pirate from the distant planet Urgos. Anderson immediately orders the team to go after Doom after rescuing Mark, but the fight ends badly for them as Capt. Doom's plane damages the Phoenix. After escaping back to Center Neptune, the team is ordered back to the mysterious space pirate's home world to face him.... on HIS terms.

The Intergalactic Defense Force on the water planet of Aquatica is attacked by a giant mechanical Sea Dragon. It swiftly demolishes a fleet of Robot planes from Ursa Minor, as well as the Tigers from Andromeda before G-Force is even assembled to blast off from Earth. When even the fiery Phoenix proves no match for the Sea Dragon, G-Force has to retreat, but returns with a repaired Phoenix and a new freeze weapon developed by 7-Zark-7.

Jason enters a continental auto race with a fellow driver named Lucy. However, Lucy is not all she seems to be. Although used by Spectra to infiltrate G-Force via Jason, Lucy is not able to complete her mission because she has grown fond of Jason. This is quite a feat, especially after the revelation that she is a robot.

While acting as Chief Anderson's chauffeur, Jason is attacked by a mysterious masked woman. Spectra has threatened to blow up the new Solar Express monorail on it's maiden voyage. Anderson and Mark board the Express together with a PR woman named Mala. But she is actually Zoltar's sister and leads the deadly Galaxy Girls.

A rock band called the 'Dirty Name 5' is kidnapped & held hostage by Spectra. Their music becomes the main weapon in Spectra's newest flying death machine; it uses sound waves to shake buildings to the ground. When G-Force tries to attack the machine it gets on top of them & damages their ship. The only way to stop it now is to infiltrate the flying Spectran machine of death, rescue the band, and sabotage the ship... but will they be too late?

When Riga is attacked by Spectra, G-Force pleads with Chief Anderson to go there and help the Rigans, including Mark's old ally Col. Cronus. Anderson refuses, choosing to await a formal request from Riga and analysis of Spectra's latest weapon, a giant bird-like death machine. However, G-Force disobeys Chief Anderson and flies to Riga to engage the Spectran death craft. They are badly defeated as the Spectran aircraft deploys a high-energy ray weapon, knocking out the crew & badly damaging the ship and forcing it down. The only thing that saves them is Col. Cronus, who deploys a nuclear-tipped air-defense missile against a massive Spectran missile attack. On returning to Earth, Mark is taken aside & put through re-training with Cronus in order to get his edge back following his defeat. Now, will the team be able to survive the next confrontation with a seemingly invincible death machine?

A gunslinger, released from a prison on Earth, is recruited by Spectran agents & brought to Zoltar. The Spectran leader places him in charge of a new weapon, the tank-like 'Crynogun'. When fired, the gun's ammunition will freeze any target it hits. G-Force decides to go to Spectra to take them on, and one at a time, are frozen by the Crynogun until only Mark & Princess remain. Will they defeat the lethal freezing ray of the Crynogun?
