A former Indiana University student will serve one year probation - having served one day in jail - after accepting a plea deal Thursday in two rape cases against him, Fox59, Wish and the New York Daily News report. John Enochs pleaded guilty to battery with moderate bodily injury, as a Class A misdemeanor, having previously been accused of rape in two separate incidents, according to court records obtained by People. The two previous rape charges were withdrawn, with the new charge amended, according to court records. Some on social media were quick to criticize the deal as the result...

There is something inherently frustrating about the prospect of university life. As a college student, you can feel as if you’re stuck in limbo. You’re obviously no longer a child as sex, drugs and alcohol pervade your everyday world, yet you’re not really an adult — totally free of the burdens of the 9-to-5 rat race for at least a few more years. A feeling of unease can fall over you, as there’s always a kegger or a party to attend while lovers change partners more often than bed-sheets.
Everybody Wants Some!!, the long-awaited spiritual sequel to Richard Linklater‘s classic comedy Dazed & Confused is now out in theaters. In the film, a college freshman (Blake Jenner) arrives at school to find that his new baseball teammates are an out-of-control, alcohol-fueled army of irresponsible party-dudes.
To celebrate, we compiled ten of the finest college movies, all ranging wildly in style and tone.

The 1970’s was an excellent decade for movies. Pop culture and reality collided to give audiences the most gritty, emotional, and entertaining films they had ever seen. This is our list of the 25 movies from the 1970’s that everyone should see.
Until the 1970’s film was mainly just a pastime. You went to the movies to unwind. You enjoyed comedies, musicals, and sprawling adventurous epics. The 1970’s effectively changed what movies were and what they could be. This important decade paved the way for modern film making by not only challenging traditional methods, but by fundamentally changing audience expectations of what movies could be. The 1970’s gave birth to the blockbuster, piqued our interest in regards to violence and sex on film, glorified the exploits of bad guys for the first time, and really pushed the boundaries to explore new frontiers that had never been depicted on film before.

A few nights ago, Warner Bros. hosted a very canny event that our own Louis Virtel attended at the Playboy Mansion, a screening of "Entourage" that may have felt like virtual reality for those who attended. While I doubt being surrounded by scantily clad bunnies influenced Louis one way or another on the film, it's likely you'll see a number of reviews that are perhaps more enthusiastic than they would otherwise be, and it'd be hard to blame anyone who fell for it. One of the reasons the setting seemed so right for that particular film is because much of the charge of "Entourage" is watching the core ensemble swagger their way through Hollywood, doing whatever they want and rarely if ever facing any consequences as a result. It's always presented with a wink and a smile, just a case of boys being boys. We live in a world right...

The movie’s not-so-secret weapon was the film debut of Saturday Night Live star John Belushi as prototypical slob, John “Bluto” Blutarsky. In a bit of irony the boys from Delta House would appreciate, the film (highlighted by Bluto’s suave impression of a bursting pimple) was deemed “culturally significant” and selected for preservation by the National Film Registry in 2001.

In the anarchic comedy to which all others aspire, John Belushi's superslob Bluto Blutarsky inspires his fellow fratmates raise their party game when Faber College's scheming dean puts the out-of-control Delta House on 'double-secret probation'. Built around the iconic Belushi, John Landis's campus classic paved the way for every teen riot from Porky's to American Pie and launched more careers than you can stick a pledge pin on. Toga!

Much like the horror genre, comedy presents an opportunity to explore deeper themes within the confines of an otherwise simple premise. Wes Craven once said you can do anything you want in a horror movie, “as long as you scare the bejesus out of people 6 or 10 times.” The same could be said for generating laughs in a high-concept comedy. On that basis, Neighbors probably squeaks by with 6 solid laughs and plenty of goodwill. More importantly, it boasts a bitingly perceptive script about the painful transition to adulthood and the extreme lengths to which some people will go to avoid it.
Neighbors is the story of two loving couples who can’t let go of their youth. The first is a married couple, Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Rose Byrne). Though they’ve faithfully followed society’s script for a successful life – marriage, job, house, debt,...

With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, the Irish are poised to celebrate the arrival of Christianity in their homeland, while Americans are simply looking for an excuse to wear green, eat corned beef, and drink copious amounts of green beer. Sounds good right? To get you in the mood to celebrate the feast of St. Patrick, I’ve compiled a group of movies that will help inspire your party planning this year.
Will Ferrell in “Old School.”
After looking at the movies I picked out for this list, the thing that strikes me is how many are set in and around schools – high school and college respectively. I don’t know about you, but I certainly can’t remember any school I attended being like any of these movies. So, without further ado, here are my picks for the Top 10 Party Movies of All Time. Did I leave your favorite out?...

In looking back at the past few weeks of a government shutdown that 99 percent of the country’s population didn’t actually feel directly, and in an effort to hand out grades to media and political members alike, one can only harken back to a meeting between four members of Delta House and Dean Wormer at fictional Faber College in 1978...

It’s been an Oscar-caliber season so far for Saturday Night Live. By that, I mean that two of the show’s most popular guests took home golden trophies last week at the Academy Awards, and another was the award show’s host. (And that’s not even counting Best Supporting Actress winner Anne Hathaway, who was no slouch herself when she hosted SNL in November.)
So Kevin Hart stepped into a tight spot on Saturday: he followed Django’s Waltz, who rocketed into the lead of our Mr. Saturday Night host poll, and he’s got all-timer Justin Timberlake on-deck,...

Universal Pictures executives may have had a tough last weekend with "The Five-Year Engagement" underperforming at the box office, but Monday was all about celebrating.
Per a press release, "Universal Film Manufacturing Company was officially incorporated in New York on April 30, 1912." That means this is the venerable film company's 100th anniversary. Party time, y'all!
To honor the centennial, Universal sent out a press release of 100 facts about the studio, 17 of which were kinda awesome. Check out some great Universal Pictures trivia below (via press release); for the full list of facts, click here.
1. The only physical damage made during the filming of "National Lampoon’s Animal House" was when John Belushi made a hole in the wall with a guitar. The actual Sigma Nu fraternity house (which subbed for the fictitious Delta House) never repaired it, and instead framed the hole in honor of the film.

The rowdy frat boys of Delta House are headed for Broadway. A musical version of "National Lampoon's Animal House," the 1978 hit film comedy, which launched a thousand toga parties and food fights on college campuses, is in the works. "Animal House: The Musical" will be produced by Universal, a division of the studio which released the original film; Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel, whose current credits include "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" and "Gore Vidal's The Best Man;" and James L. Nederlander, president of the Nederlander Organization. The score will be provided by the Canadian band Barenaked Ladies and the libretto will be written by Michael Mitnick. Casey Nicholaw, who won a Tony for "The Book of Mormon," will direct and choreograph. No casting or dates for the show have been announced yet.

I’m sure by now, everyone has seen the movie Animal House, or the hundreds of movies it spawned, like American Pie. Well, have you ever thought ‘gee, that would make a sweet show, but they should do it in the ‘80s, when everything was cooler?’ Well, if you did, then you should check out Glory Daze on TBS, starting Tuesday, the 17th, at 8 pm.
The show starts off introducing a few freshman to the campus, which fit the archetypes perfectly. We have the Asian, the jock, the geek and the guy trying to get laid. After a really funny scene with Brad Garrett as a parent, we get a scene to establish we are still in school with a hilarious professor played by Tim Meadows (SNL, Ladies Man). Finally, we get to the freshman trying to find a fraternity to pledge. They come upon what might as well be...

Geek overlord Simon Pegg talks about his new autobiography, as well as chatting about Spaced, Mission: Impossible 4, King Frat, Paul, Edgar Wright, Star Wars and more…
Out now in hardback, Simon Pegg has just released his autobiography, Nerd Do Well. A terrific read, it tells of his early years, his Star Wars obsession, and the foundations of his career.
And he spared us some time to talk about it, and what he's up to...
There's a really lovely footnote in your book which is worth covering first. It said that when you were doing press for Shaun Of The Dead, you dropped in there that you wouldn't want to do something like Mission: Impossible III.
I'm wondering if you want to try the same trick on any other forthcoming movies that you don't-but-do want to get involved with? Indy 5? Die Hard 5?
[Laughs] That was quite a moment of extreme hypocrisy by me!

After a Ted-heavy plot did a decent job opening the season, How I Met Your Mother went to their closer to make sure there was no second episode slump this week.
On "Cleaning House," Barney got the party started with his Bronx Zoo story of monkey business and then Robin asks if anyone watched The Deadliest Catch last night. Lily covers her ears and yells, “spoiler alert!” A slave to my DVR, I am always doing the same thing until I can get caught up on recent shows.
Ted lost me on the whole underselling of his Karate Kid analogy. No fan of the 1984 hit, let alone someone who claims it is one of the best movies ever, would refer to John Kreese as merely “the Cobra Kai Sensei.” Great idea, poor execution Ted. Sort of like when Daniel Larusso tried the Crane kick against Chozen in Karate Kid Part...
