  • A man brutally beats another man as an act of vengeance. The victim is later seen with a black eye, split lip, and severely bruised abdomen.
  • A man pins a woman to the wall and forces her to make a phone call. When she refuses, he chokes her for several seconds. She gasps for air and sobs.

Profanity

  • Occasional profanity. Goddamn and shit are heard several times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Mary Ann smokes cigarettes frequently.
  • Two women mix makeshift grasshoppers with Vodka, chocolate sauce, and milk. They get buzzed and giggly.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The domestic violence scenes are very realistic and disturbing. Throughout the film, a man emotionally torments and manipulates his wife along with physically beating her. The lit matches scene and the choking scene are particularly hard to watch.
