Classic members Brian Johnson (vocals), Cliff Williams (bass), and Phil Rudd (drums) all rejoined AC/DC for their 2020 album Power Up. However, Rudd won’t be behind the kit when the band performs its first show in seven years on October 7th at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California.
On Saturday (September 9th), AC/DC posted rehearsal audio on their social pages (see below), with the caption: “Pwr Up for Power Trip! Listen to the rehearsal of the boys powering up with Cliff Williams, who’s coming out of retirement for the festival and Matt Laug on drums.”
Laug is a veteran drummer who has played with Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, and Slash’s Snakepit, among other acts. Most notably, he performed on several tracks on Morissette’s multiplatinum album Jagged Little Pill.
No reason was given for Rudd’s absence. The drummer had previously been replaced by Chris Slade...

Shailene Woodley believed that female action stars were a thing of the past during her rise in the film industry. But she had high hopes that she’d be a part of a new generation of tough heroines after her Divergent franchise.

There were many reasons why Divergent star Shailene Woodley signed up for the once successful sci-fi series. At first, she was reluctant to lead a franchise with blockbuster potential. But advice from others like Jennifer Lawrence helped relieve her concerns.
“I asked her advice,” Woodley once told Vulture. “I do think we have things in common. We both believe in having fun and still telling the truth. We’re not fashion girls, but we play the game. And we both care deeply about being actors.”

“American Idol” may be responsible for launching the careers of several music superstars, but according to “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg, it can also be credited with “the beginning of the downfall of society.”
Goldberg’s comments came on Wednesday morning, as the women of “The View” were discussing Netflix’s new documentary on Anna Nicole Smith, and why — or even if — the documentary needs to exist.
“I think that we, as a society, love to watch stuff to judge folks,” Goldberg argued.
In fact, the moderator even went so far as to peg the moment in time that that started happening.
“You know, I’ve always thought that the beginning of the downfall of society was with, um, what’s the name of that show?” she said, turning to executive producer Brian Teta for an assist. “I always tell you that.”

It’s guessing time on “The Masked Singer” as the judges try to figure out who is Doll on this week’s episode. And in keeping with this week’s special movie night-themed episode, Ken Jeong once again takes a huge swing with his guess that Doll is Elvis. Or rather, the actor who most recently played The King in a movie.
You can watch TheWrap’s exclusive sneak peek of the episode in the video above and see everyone’s reactions to Jeong’s guess. (Booing. Lots of booing.)
In the clip, Jeong reprises Leslie Chow, his character from “The Hangover” trilogy as he explains why he believes the Doll is “Elvis” star and Golden Globe-winner Austin Butler.
“Real talk, the doll is Austin Butler, and I’ll tell you why,” Jeong says over disbelieving laughter and boos from everyone else. “Don’t boo me. Look at me, I...

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” has been named the best-produced film of 2022 at the Producers Guild Awards, which were held on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
The freewheeling indie film won in a category that also included the formidable blockbusters “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Elvis” and “Avatar: The Way of Water.” The PGA had been a must-win awards show for “Top Gun,” and the fact that “Everything Everywhere” won is reminiscent of the low-budget “Coda” winning this award last year on its way to an unlikely Oscar Best Picture win.
The Producers Guild is also the only other awards show apart from the Oscars that uses the preferential or ranked-choice system of counting the votes in its top category. That system is designed to find a consensus choice, and the biggest question surrounding “Everything Everywhere All at Once” has been whether it was too polarizing to win under that system.

Please be advised that in the interests of maintaining contemporaneous consistency I will be referring to WWE as WWF throughout this article. This clarification should prevent you from imagining giant men in spandex fighting pandas for money.
On August the 29th 1992 the WWF came to Wembley Stadium for its annual SummerSlam. It was the first time the organisation had strayed outside the States for an event of this scale, and the reason was purely financial: Vince McMahon and his backers realised that while enthusiasm for the sport was waning – or at least plateauing – in the US, fans in the UK were in the fevered grip of Wrestlemania, Hulkamania, and – perhaps most crucially of all – Gladly-Spend-Thirty-Pounds-on-a-Giant-Foam-Finger-amania. The WWF’s instincts proved correct: the first round of tickets for SummerSlam sold out in five minutes, and the event helped to shift over a million pounds in merchandising. UK fans would do anything...

"Here, we don't believe in dreams... we live in nightmares." Dread Presents has revealed an official trailer for an indie horror anthology featured called Tiny Cinema. It's premiering at two different genre festivals this month (Popcorn Frights / FrightFest) and will be out on VOD in September. From the makers of Butt Boy, Tiny Cinema is a twisted tale of seemingly unconnected strangers whose lives will change in incredible and bizarre ways forever. This seems to be the very first "multiverse" horror film. "Game Night" spirals out of control when a simple joke goes over a guest's head. "Edna" is looking for love in all the wrong places. "Bust" sees two friends stopping at nothing to help their impotent buddy. "Deep Impact" has a delivery man deliver a package to himself... from the future. "Mother*******" focuses on an unlucky mafia card game. And "Daddies Home" finds a man transforming after unknowingly...
