Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • One serious episode focuses on gun violence. The episode features an intense scene where we can hear Laura's friend being shot offscreen. No blood is shown, but the scene may be disturbing to most viewers.
  • Episodes like "Dog Day Halloween," "Stakeout," "Robonerd 2," "The Good, the Bad, and the Urkel," and others have very mild and humurous fight scenes in them.
  • There is one moment of brutal violence: in "Born to be Mild" we see Eddie bruised from being beaten by the Dragon gang. Fairly graphic for a network sitcom.

Profanity

  • In a few episodes Carl is accused of acting like a jackass by his mother.
  • Some episodes have some mild profanity in them, such as damn, hell, ass, and jackass. Though not too often.
  • One episode has the "n" word written on Laura's locker.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some episodes show Carl, Eddie and though very rarely, Steve drinking beer.
  • In the episode, "Life of a Party," Steve accidentally gets drunk when a bully gives him too many cups of fruit punched that he spiked.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The episode I Should Have Done Something is a very emotional episode that deals with PTSD and how can affect everyone.
  • The episodes "Stevil" and "Stevil II" are pretty disturbing in nature.
