Terry opens the series with the night's co-host Arthur Smith. Among their guests are Julie Walters, Cindy Crawford and an up-and-coming comedian by the name of Steve Coogan.
Terry is joined by Tony Slattery as co-host, gets a special report from Frank Skinner and a song from Sade, but the main attention is on Edwina Currie and a defensive Max Clifford, as Currie calls him a "parasite".
Helen Lederer is Terry's co-host this week, as both are joined by guests including Andrew Neil, Robert Elms and Christopher Reeve, and find that Madonna's new book "Erotica" is a hot topic of conversation.
"Don't step on the tag line!" co-host Les Dawson jokingly tells Cher after she talks over one of his gags. Also appearing are Jennifer Saunders and Donna Tartt.
"Are you saying that I'm starting to calm down?" teases Nicolas Cage, giving Terry haunted memories of his appearance on "Wogan" two years earlier. Also having fun with Terry are guests including Dudley Moore and Damon Wayans.
Arthur Smith is back as co-host, while Terry is in a rambunctious mood, asking guest Kylie Minogue if she'd ever take her clothes off and when will she go back to Australia. Also appearing are Leslie Nielsen, Gloria Steinem and Shai.
Frank Skinner gets promoted to co-hosting duties as Terry presents another edition of discussion. Guests include Cliff Richard, George Best and Sister Wendy Beckett.
The co-host for the week is Craig Charles, who Terry jokes will "never be Robin Day". The guests getting an attempted grilling include Rod Stewart, Chris Eubank and Jeremy Beadle.
Terry struggles to get laughs from a quiet audience, as even Dan Ackroyd, Miss Piggy and co-host Tony Slattery have to work for a reaction. Also appearing are Céline Dion, juggler pianist Dan Menendez and Duncan Thickett- AKA Steve Coogan.
