Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Mary is seen in tears at the end of the film. This is significant, as she previously mentioned not knowing how to cry.
  • There is a few minutes long scene near the end of children performing a bit creepy magic ritual at night around a bonfire.
  • At the beginning of the movie, there is an earthquake, and a fire breaks out. Also during the same scene we can both see and hear objects smashing on the ground and people screaming outside. Later in the movie, on numerous occasions, we can see and hear Colin kicking and screaming. Both scenes can be quite frightening for some younger viewers

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Due to the stress of her job as head servant, Mrs. Medlock is shown to be quite angry, often to the point of being abusive and intimidating.
