Hits! Ambitious and a failure
thniels21 February 1999
Apparently aiming at portraying the birth of a friendship in an unfriendly environment, this movie fails its own ambitions. The inexperienced gunmen played by Jeff Monahan and James Marshall are superficially sympathetic but below the surface they remain uncharted waters. A lack of enlightenment disastrous to the goal. I can only speculate as to why such actors as Martin Sheen appeared in this movie - but it definitely sells better. One thing's for sure: He didn't contribute to this movie nor was he given the chance.

I was one of the extras... & it still wasn't great.

When I was 10, I think, I was an extra in this movie. No my name is not in the credits, and for the person saying now that I'm full of it, why would I lie about being in this movie? It was amazing to be on the set of a movie, not a great movie, but a movie none the less. Me and a couple of my friends were the kids throwing the football around, we are on screen for 1.2 seconds.

James Marshall: I thought he performed great in the movie Gladiator, and I thought that he performed well in this movie as well but honestly I just do not think that it had a good story line. No offence to the writer, I mean your doing this for a living I just have to watch the movie and comment.

An answer to a previous reviewer's question
veloce22 December 2004
Martin Sheen is a personal friend of the director, hence his cameo in the film. It is disappointing that this talented actor's appearance lent nothing more than pasta-eating to this film, but that is more a fault of the script than of Mr. Sheen's. Apparently, my answer is not long enough to fit the minimum, so I will also say this -- this is a movie with much better characters than the movie deserves, the two lead performers do a fine job with the slight material, and everything else about the film is a mild disappointment. I say "mild" because there is nothing to get terribly excited about in the film, positively or negatively.

It´s bad, and it can get worse.
PatricioG21 February 1999
I wait all the movie to see if it can get better. But it didn´t; it features one of the worst endings I´ve ever seen (it could have been better). The story, about two criminals in search of a briefcase, is very basic, and don´t have anything that may cause surprises to an usual spectator.

You don´t know if this film is in the action, drama or comedy genre (you don´t know what to expect about it), because it´s a mixture of the three of them. What is worse is that all the film happen inside a car. Even worse, those two delinquents are too stupid to complete the assignment. And the worst thing, is when the few deaths in the film happen (they seem to be part of a mute-movie, because you don´t even see the impacts of the bullets). If you have the chance of watching it, please don´t do it.

I give this title a 4 out of 10.
