Sex & Nudity

  • Two prostitutes ask Aidan Quinn's character if he "Would like a good time" to which he replies "Not tonight girls. Scene is dark, no nudity.
  • None: a love triangle is a central part of the film but no sex is shown or implied.

Violence & Gore

  • Violence throughout including executions by firing squad (shown briefly), lots of gun battles, a car bomb explodes although there is no injury detail. A man is strung up and interrogated (very brief). A man is brutally beaten but this is obscured by a glass partition. A man is shot in the head and blood spurts (again, very brief). Soldiers leap from a burning vehicle in flames. Overall, despite the subject matter most of the violence is intense but not very graphic and very little blood.

Profanity

  • Profanity includes 33 uses of 'f*ck': not as excessive as some films of a similar nature.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters smoke regularly throughout the film; drinking in a few scenes including a scene set in a pub.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
