Sex & Nudity

  • After Samson strips the Philistines of their clothes and kills them through various methods, their bare backsides are shown from a distance.
  • Samson is shown with a prostitute and Delilah. Sex scenes. No graphic nudity. Scene with Delilah is lengthy, and it is rather obvious that the two are having intercourse.

Violence & Gore

  • A graphic scene in which Samson's eyes are burned out with a torch. The after-effects are visible in that his eyes are white.
  • Violent scenes with Samson fighting the Philistines. Samson uses various objects such as a tree and a donkey's jawbone as weapons. In one intense scene, Samson hangs a man and then pushes a wall down on the Philistines. In another scene, Samson slices a Philistine's throat with a sword. Blood is shown in various scenes.
  • Philistines attack Samson's wife, father-in law, and brother-in law. The wife and father-in law are stabbed to death after being brutally beaten. The actual beatings are not shown, but the wife's face is shown bruised and bloodied. The brother-in law's bloody face is shown with skin peeled off from some sort of injury.
  • A Hebrew who tries to visit Samson is stabbed by a Philistine.
  • A lion attacks Samson and before Samson breaks the lion's jaw, the lion injures him and the after effects are shown in that Samson's chest has bloody cuts and his arm is also bloody.
