Felix witnesses a caveman giving a new loincloth to his girl and her bawling, "I don't want that oldfasioned (that's how they spelled it in the cartoon's caption) thing!" He suggests something else, like the animal up in the tree, but she cries again and declines. Asked what she does want, she spots Felix and points to him! Yikes, time for Felix to scram!
A funny scene is Felix, at the edge of a cliff, using a bunch of monkeys who donate their tails and allow our hero to climb down. Once down, Felix looks up and laughs at the pursing caveman, and adds insult to injury by sticking his tongue out and taunting him.
Then he entertains the little monkey but accidentally injures a big ape sitting nearby and the gorilla is now chasing Felix. That chase ends in the middle of it - the cartoon literally stops. Apparently, the rest of the footage is lost but there is no explanation so all we see is half a cartoon here.
Another odd thing: the back of the DVD box says "Bone Age," as does the title page here at IMDb. However, the actual movie says "Stone Age."
This half-cartoon was part of a collection of in the "Presenting Felix The Cat - The Otto Messmer Classics - 1919-1924" DVD, with original organ scores by Dave Wickersham. So far, it is the only one I've seen that has been chopped.
