Unsuccessful
lor_14 December 2022
Paul Thomas set out to look at the world of stripping in this extremely boring mixture of minimally dramatic scenes with fake documentary-style material. A previous reviewer got fooled, but it's just new footage pretending to be "reality" -Not.

Making it hard to watch is the endless cutting back and forth between uninteresting interviews with would-be strippers -just porn actresses pretending to be novices. Exception is Victoria Paris, who has a ridiculous role as a stripper who is unsure of herself despite great success, enrolling in a course to learn the "art" of stripping.

Flashbacks show explicit sex that doesn't really fit into the format. Several anticlimaxes involve Paris's boring story of conflict with her venal agent Randy Spears, a stupid relationship between star Deidre Holland her man Jon Dough, plus a pointless relationship between Cameo and Cal Jammer.

A nerdy guy who looks like Dick Smothers (more than even his porno son Dick Smothers Jr.) is boring in the lead role of interviewer and dance teacher, while the actual strip show on stage is, you guessed it, boring. Musical score trying to sound old-timey is awful. If the dictionary needed a photo to display next to the word "time-waster", this video's poster would do.

Really Bad, Not worth watching for free
fuerstma1 July 2000
My goodness. Apparently this thing was chopped together simply for some fast cash. The idea behind it is that a director is interviewing these ladies apparently because they want to learn how to strip, and he can teach them. The thing is, half the interviews are done in a modern setting, and the other half were obviously filmed a long, long time ago (IE: mid 70's). Film stock changes (gets much fuzzier, washed out colors) hair styles suddenly go back in time, the women dress far worse, and the directors voice suddenly changes. Obviously they are just two films from different movies with the same premise and edited it together. It doesn't even make sense, which by and of itself in adult films isn't horrible, but there is no real good action either. There are some 'real' scenes slipped in there, but they are quite subpar. I didn't pay anything to watch, and it was bad.
