Suffering from the creeping bloat in porn which stretches this teeny weeny video into two features, "Poor Little Rich Girl" is entertaining in an infantile, silly way. Chalk that up to the penchant for "meta-filmmaking" typical of the work of writer Cash Markman.
That means many (way too many) infra dig references to the video in self-mocking fashion. What was a lot of fun back in the forties when Hope & Crosby made fun of their Road Movies and Paramount Pictures during the film is childish here. Much of that occurs in Part 2, when co-star Jonathan Morgan, usually quite funny in his screen antics, pulls the feature into "so bad it's good" territory with his over-the- top performance.
Part 1 is a whole lot better, as we watch bratty, vertically challenged star Alexis De Vell get under everyone's skin with her nasty remarks and haughty behavior. She's living off a generous allowance from her milquetoast of an uncle, odd casting for usually macho Randy West, and carrying on a battle with her evil new gold-digging step-aunt Crystal Wilder.
Markman's script is pure corn, as daddy is convinced by his wife to cut off Alexis's allowance and force her to work & prove herself by running his doing-poorly strip club. Picture is set in a county opposed to such dens of vice, so the kid is facing an uphill battle to breathe new life into the boring venue.
Many stock character pop up to fill out the running time, mostly busty strippers -in fact the entire female cast seems like prehistoric tryouts for Score Magazine (before it escalated from 34DD to 80KKK freaks). Steve Drake is the nominal hero, a drifter in an underwritten role, while Lois Ayres stands out among the strippers as a Big Name, upstaged by the bigger chest and pleasant personality of Marissa Malibu.
Tom Byron and Celeste are West's butler and maid who turn out to be in cahoots with Wilder in her nefarious plans. This is a chance to see Celeste pre-nose job and pre-boob job.
One more warning: Beware of Part 2 - it contains sequences of such lousiness as to drive men mad!
