Having to watch this against my will, I was sure this was just going to be another stupid anti-drug message. But Flashback was more; I was seventeen at the time, and the main character reminded me of many people close to me. While not the best acting, it was true and full of heart, and that goes a long way. Flashback is an emotionally succesful look at the way drugs screw up lives, and I admit I was touched.
