This is a rather daft quota quickie produced at Selwyn studios.Frank Leighton plays a gun runner who is accused of murder of his cohort. He is engaged to Judy Kelly.Kelly is also being romanced by Wyndham Goldie.Leighton is found guilty at the trial where he is defended by Goldie. His sentence is commuted to penal servitude.Kelly marries Leighton out of gratitude.A year later Leighton escapes and of course makes his way back to the Leightons house.Eventually fresh evidence comes to light which exonerated Leighton and proves that in fact Goldie was the murderer. The film is extremely contrived and at times is actually pretty dull. There are a number of plot contrivance which are really rather laughable.A very forgettable film.
