Movie about the Metamorphosis of Nature
theatrum-11 January 2007
"The Trees, Birds and People" is wonderful movie by Czech film-maker Vojtech Jasny who emigrated to West Germany after Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia. This short picture is an assembly of different brief shots on scenes of nature (the trees, landscapes, birds) confronted with the catches of a town life. Sensitive images of banal, but interesting and inviting reality are combined in the peculiar visual rhythm and mixed with the original music by Eberhard Schoener (it's very noteworthy colorful composition). Jasny's interest in the imagery of the world stems from his fascination by the life in its various forms, colors and functions. I love this movie and I have to recommend it to all people who share this philosophy of life.
