Buttman at his best.
RElKO6 August 2000
Buttman strikes again. This time taking his camera to London, England, and "picking up" some of the local babes, persuading them to frolic around in front of his camera. Although, off course it's ridiculous how easy some of the girls pretend to come along with Johnny Stagliano, it has the usual fun in doing so. The girls, thankfully, look like the best pornstars should, as the girls from nextdoor. Instead of pumped up supermodels with fake body parts. The acting seems "real", as if the ladies were actual street walkers picked up, and the sex is blazing hot in most of the scenes, especially the ones with the Italian stallion, Rocco Siffredi. A must see for Gonzo fans.

Gonzo

I have recently obtained a DVD copy of this film. I owned a copy when it was released on video, which mysteriously disappeared after being borrowed out to a few friends. I agree with everything the last two reviewers have said. This was the original Gonzo feature and the next two films that the American Buttman series released were just as good and fun too. The acting and dialog are funny and the great central London locations added something extra too. I have watched a lot of adult movies and generally prefer older films. Maybe they seem naughtier because of their innocence, or just that nowadays it's all wall to wall sex with no build-up to the sex scenes and plastic models with no acting talent whatsoever. Even though I generally prefer movies shot on film, if the action is good, the girls a quite pretty and believable then I have no hesitation in recommending a film. This is a movie that should be in everyone's collection. Oh yes Linzi Drew is teasingly in her short scenes. Anyone who has read Escort Magazine during the 80's will know what I mean. HoT!

Much enjoyed because realistic, happy, and with two exceptional girls.
bes-118 February 2001
A favourite film, partly because I recognise some locations and it's nice to hear real English girls talking as they have sex. To see things happening between the characters in a real London setting - for example, in a black London cab with a recognisable main road outside - and not knowing how far things are going to go at any moment is exciting and happy. One girl, Sara Jane, strikes one as a real person, and when she takes off her clothes - at the top of a flight of stairs when things are just starting! - one does not expect such an incredibly wonderful figure. She speaks intelligently and with a sense of fun combined with sex drive. You can see her change as the film progresses - at first acting for the camera and selfconsciously hamming a bit, then performing really good sex, then at the end of her last scene you can see - it can't just be acting - a sense of the glory and wonder. You just don't get that with the big American studio sessions.

The other outstanding girl is Misty McCaine. Exceptional figure and one feels she really cares for the man she's doing gorgeous things with. At the climax she is a dream come true.

Primitive and sloppy

John Stagliano goes to London for this self-serving, poorly-made bit of porn, in which it is difficult to tell whether he is amateurish in shooting technique by accident or on purpose.

His trandemark "gee whiz" attitude, occasioned by the sight of any female posterior out on the street, is tiresome in the extreme, as his Buttman character pretends to be some innocent Candide wandering through the world. Some of the British sex workers he encounters are attractive, some just plain, and the most famous Linzi Drew (who even graduated to a few Ken Russell mainstream assignments) doesn't even have sex, merely teases the viewer as owner of a beauty salon.

Rocco Siffredi is Stagliano's usual protagonist, each of them bringing out the worst tendencies in the other. The girls, including the magnificently busty Sara Jane and pretty Misty McCaine, go along with the gag, in hopes that their paychecks made out in Yankee dollars won't bounce.
