Very poor improv porn
lor_29 January 2016
"Allen Stuart" is the pseudonym of a porn director who has displayed zero or perhaps negative talent in his limited video career of the '80s. This feature doesn't seem directed at all.

Instead it is an excuse for pals John Leslie (visiting New York on a porn assignment) and local boy Jerry Butler to shoot the breeze and try to trip each other up as they improvise a series of scenes reflecting back on their chosen profession. There's lots of name-dropping and in-jokes, as when "Rob Everett" is mentioned in passing, referring to superstar Eric Edwards' other name, but this is a classic example of the participants having way more fun than the viewer.

Corny premise has them pretending to be making a porn video in order to get girls, an oft-used and never interesting plot device. This allows them to lay Cher Delight, Amber Lynn and Colleen Brennan, latter rather uppity as she "recognizes" John as porn star John Leslie, which he is but didn't expect to get called on it by a co-star. Colleen is called Sharon here, in honor of her previous soft-core stage name.

It amounts to nothing and all the self-referential nonsense is tiring to watch. Either extreme, namely a fictional story line or just wall-to-wall sex of the "shut up and hump" variety would have been preferable.
