I recalll watching the Aspel & Company" Episode #10.8 (1993)
Original Air Date:23 May 1993 Cast (Episode Credited cast) Michael Aspel ... Himself - Presenter rest of cast listed alphabetically: Les Dawson ... Himself Jerry Lee Lewis ... Himself more: ...Inevitably Michael tactfully asked Jerry Lee about his 6 wives/divorces and sensationally aborted 1st UK tour in 1958 due to tabloid outrage at his 2nd marriage to his '13 year old cousin' in 1957 which was not scandalized in the USA. Jerry Lee politely, and show-stoppingly replied, "No sir, she was 12." When Les Dawson came on, also outrageous if only for some of his jokes and deliberately tuneless piano playing, Michael happened to ask Jerry Lee what was his favourite tune, and Les swiftly quipped, "The Wedding March I shouldn't wonder !" Which broke the tension and also brought a smile and laugh from Jerry Lee. I hope this show and many others may be archived and viewable sometime. T hank You, Doug Patton.
