A bit obvious as a satire, but successful though

Notable production values. This is clever in a way, although the theme (religion & advertising) may be a bit obvious as the issue of a satire. Nonetheless, a good laugh, and quite a catchy theme song: "New Testament is a really great wine cooler..."

Passion fruit?

Shame on Pelletier for even bothering to do a satire on the advertising industry with this hard-hearted swipe at the tenets of Christianity.

Total sacrilege.

And Hollywood actor Ethan Erickson (as one of the Roman guards) is guilty by association!

The only nice thing I can say about this short film is that Steven A. Milling would have made a wonderful Christ.

(Milling of course has moved on to directing B-action thrillers, whereas Erickson has kept his luck in Hollywood with a recurring role in a TV series called Fashion House.)

All in all, 'New Testament' is tasteless tacky fizz...
