Touching entanglement and dispute over a marquis between uncle and nephew
figueroafernando14 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A moving mess awaits us in this brotherly mess by the same marquise. The great Juan Manuel de Solorzano (Julio Villareal) will have to not only save his honor this time but also reflect on every ounce of gold that he has obtained in his life to own maidens and set up franches, to place his trust in his nephew Don Lope de Haro (Arturo de Cordoba); He raises and trains him in the sword and some time later, on the occasion of the donation of 100 thousand doubloons in gold to the Marchioness Doña Blanca del Valle to found the Orphanage, Don Juan Manuel is captivated by the noble woman, but also the nephew poet Lope de Haro; Unaware of his uncle's secret yearnings, Don Lope leads the night watch and declaims at the Marquise's window "clear, serene eyes, if you are praised for your sweet look, why do you look at me, look angry." In order not to upset Don Juan Manuel, Don Lope asks the Marchioness, who had already been infatuated with the young nephew, to marry him on his behalf. Voilá the divine marriage that awaits them and bitter wine for the nephew. And because of them, those clear and serene eyes of the marquise, will no longer look at the young tenor with slights. Don Lope leaves for Cuba, to fight and to forget; Don Juan Manuel, either because of lack of love or because of the remedies used by the Aztecs, begins to drift, to dream of the voice that warns him that his wife is cheating on him; at the same time that at night someone, some call him a ghost, murders with the sword at nighttime.
