Ichabod is shown being attacked by zombies in a dream sequence. Bram is shown racing the Headless Horseman with his head as a wage. Ghosts are seen hanging from trees and emerging from them. Ichabod is shown riding his horse in a storm at night terrified of the horseman. Apparitions of hanging bodies are seen as well as ghoulish dead trees. Thunder is mistaken for cannon fire. Ghosts chase Ichabod. "Any head will do" is a saying heard multiple times through the movie. Ichabod is chased by the horseman. The horseman is shown several times up close. A ghost is seen pushing its head through the ground, whilst summoning others from the trees. Ichabod is decapitated with a flaming pumpkin. The horseman is revealed to have Bram's rotting head as his own.
