Syd and Eddie start their final series by paying tribute to New Kids On The Block, and investigating crime in Toy Town. There's also spoofs of "Grease" and "Brief Encounter", while Eddie hopes he'll be the new host of "Wogan".
"Rod Stewart" and "Tina Turner" appear as they've never been seen before, while Syd and Eddie aren't impressed with the BBC Gift Shop. However, their mood is improved by a musical monster rave.
Syd and Eddie give viewers the sight of "MC Hammer" and "Vanilla Ice" having a rap battle, and pay tribute to the days of rock and roll. In a musical show, guests are Paul Young and Zucchero.
Syd and Eddie form a Status Quo tribute band with Bob Holness, and introduce a country music megamix. Guests on the show are The Railway Children, performing their new single "Something So Good".
Syd pays tribute to Cher, but can Eddie keep his Australian stereotypes to himself when Dannii Minogue moves next door? Dannii also gets to perform her new single "Love and Kisses", and Syd and Eddie do a tribute to Cliff Richard.
"We can't be stuck in the '70s," Syd tells Eddie, "we're in the '90s now. There's new programmes on television." It's an unwittingly prescient remark, as the BBC didn't renew the series, making this the final episode.
