Cuban Refugees Waiting for Rations (1898)

Twenty-five second film from Edison shows a bunch of refugees waiting in line to get some food. There's nothing overly entertaining about this film but it does show us a bit of history. One really shouldn't go into a film like this expecting either a story or the normal type of entertainment. A movie like this is only going to be watched by fans of early cinema and those who want to see real history captured on film. That's pretty much what we get here as it's interesting to see these real people who are suffering as they wait around with small tins in their hands looking for food.
