Less spoof and more sex than I expected, although it's all soft-porn. The story of 3 girls getting horny because of the presence of the erotic witch is pretty lame of course, but oh well, who cares. Best scene: the gorilla having sex with the sex-doll... now there's something I hadn't seen yet...

The Witch Made Them Do It

In this silly spoof, three women plunge into the woods of New Jersey to find the Erotic Witch. They begin to get certain urges and prey upon each other, sexually. They also find strange things in the forest, left by either the Erotic Witch or an escaped gorilla (don't ask), consisting of sex toys, porn mags, and a blow-up doll. Funniest of all are some twigs and acorns arranged like a nude woman, with the words "EAT ME" formed with sticks close by.
As with most porn, the plot and characters are secondary, or even thirdly, to the sex and nudity. Darian (Darian Caine), Katie (Laurie Wallace as Katie Keane), and Victoria (Victoria Vega) are indeed beautiful, my fave was Victoria, but they could not act their way out of a wet paper thong. At one point, one of the actresses uses the challenging word "ridiculous," and suddenly this word is repeated over and over again for the rest of the film, describing absolutely everything. The actresses find themselves in all sorts of sexual situations with each other, but constantly deny that the witch is causing this, when in fact the locals just told us this in the first few scenes. One glaring gaffe occurs when Darian goes missing and Katie and Victoria look for her. In the very next scene, Katie and Victoria are in a tent, wake up, and notice Darian is missing, and go look for her. The director failed to find her in the previous scene, yet in that blink of a transition, she was found, everyone went to sleep, then she disappeared again? This is just under ninety minutes, which means total production time was about ninety minutes. This is shot on video, and some of the interviews with the locals are funny. I won't recommend it, but I cannot bring myself to hate it.

In the midst of the popularity of The Blair Witch Project, it was inevitable that such a pop phenomenon would come to inspire so many parodies. Unsurprisingly, one such spoof took the soft core path, and it's probably the most popular of the bunch.
Take the original plot, make it three young women instead of two guys and a girl, and put them off to the woods in the search of the legendary erotic witch and you've got the (very) basic plot for The Erotic Witch Project. Of course, these three ladies come under the influence of the erotic witch and end up getting into all sorts of lesbian encounters with one another.
Since this is a softcore film, this should be reviewed on an entirely different basis than the average movie. After all, things such as acting, writing, and competent direction don't matter here. All you need to see are three attractive women who display lots of skin and get it on with one another. Even at that, it's hardly perfect, but it'll probably work up a quick fix for those who like this sort of thing (being a guy, I do like this sort of thing).
The three women on hand are Katie Keane (who now seems to go by the name Laurie Wallace), a blonde; Victoria Vega, a brunette; and Darian Caine, who has dark hair. Wallace is easily the most physically attractive of the lot (which is nice considering she spends the entire last half-hour wandering around in a forest without any clothes on) and also displays the most acting ability (or maybe a better way to put it would be more enthusiasm than both Vega and Caine combined). Wallace is, in fact, one of the hottest women I've seen and even her imperfections (admittedly, her posterior has quite a bit of slightly saggy skin covered with stretch marks) actually add to that "girl next door" feel, even though she's easily hotter than anyone living in my neighborhood.
She gets in at least two classic moments, the first is when she and Vega are under the spell of the erotic witch and she complains about being nude on video while Vega strips Wallace's clothes off one-by-one. The second is probably the most famous scene in the entire movie, a three-minute long parody of Heather Donahue's tearful "I'm so sorry" speech, except Keane happens to be fondling her bare breast for the entire segment. Wallace also has another sexy scene where Darian strips her, all the while claiming she's only letting her do it for documentary purposes. Then they proceed to have a very lengthy lesbian session.
Full-bodied brunette Victoria Vega is also quite attractive, not nearly as much as Wallace, but certainly much preferable to Darian Caine.
The Erotic Witch Project most definitely could have done without the guy running around in a gorilla suit who occasionally makes grunting noises during the lesbian scenes. And hey, it probably could have even done without Darian Caine, whose constant griping and raspy voice are more annoying than sexy. Still, this is an amusing, sexy softcore flick that Blair Witch haters will probably find up their alley.

I was very drunk when I first watched this and at the time I thought that it was very erotic and funny. Thinking about it though it was a bad film with no acting, story or anything except naked women in softcore action. It was a short film as most of the footage was just repeats of previous shots but mirrored to confuse the horny teenager into thinking that it is a real film. Worth watching to get horny but that's all as watching this alone normally would not be erotic or in the slightest entertaining. It was like the Teletubbies with someone shouting "again, again" before being subjected to the exact same sequence again.
Corny, but sexy.

As a parody of the Blair Witch Project, this video fails miserably. The "humor" is painful. For instance, instead of mysterious stick figures, our heroines find sex toys. And as others have mentioned, there's the guy running around in the monkey suit. ?!?!?!?
But as an all-girl softcore film, the video delivers quite nicely. The three girls (Katie, Darian, and Victoria) are all attractive. They get naked quite frequently and engage in some excellent twosomes and threesomes. The sex is very explicit and just barely stays within the bounds of softcore.
It could have been much better. They should have ditched the monkey and lame humor and used the time for more lesbian sex romps. But I still recommend it.

Sex spoofs of serious movies are an old tradition. Be they X-rated (Foreskin Gump comes to mind) or simply erotic (David Friedman's The Erotic Adventures of Zorro) they have always been there... and they will.
The Erotic Witch Project is so similar to the original movie that it amazed me. Of course, everything has a twist. We know, just for the name of the flick, that good, funny things (read: naked chicks and sexual situations) are going to happen. And they do.
If you've seen Blair Witch you will guess the ending of the Erotic With with close-to-zero- margin of error, but it does not matter. What matter is this: three beautiful women get lesbo-crazy in front of a camera. Talk about entertainment! The performances are more than you could expect, and the girls are stunning.
Last tip: get the collector's edition VHS with the uncensored, uncut version. It is much better than the regular one, even the included in the DVD.

Despite it comes from a director with no brains. (Erotic Ghost) It'll come as a surprise that it's actually fun to watch. (unless your Melissa Etheridge... women need not apply)
It's actually more fun to watch the making of featurette on the dvd than the actual movie. Seeing people act like they do in real life. Enjoy.

I'm one of the few (it seems) that really got excited about 'Blair Witch,' (and its sequel) as a cinematic event. I thought it was intelligent and clever. A lot of innovation in film concerns the relationship between observers and characters, and this was a novel take - especially the split between the video and film perspectives.
Additionally, it opened a new approach to both making and viewing. Watchers could get it without worrying about Godard. Filmmakers could play with a low cost production path. So something like this was inevitable. And it does start out as if it understood the strategy.
Surely a successful film could be made along these lines. But it would have to follow the rules of the camera: in every case you know who the filmer is. This project inexplicably tossed the convention midway. Perhaps they thought the gorilla was an operator/viewer.
The erotic stuff really could have worked, if it were erotic in any way. What we needed was 'ordinary' women without all the trappings of porn stars: hair, tattoos, runway trims, by- the-book sex. I think the right characters would be high schoolers along the lines of Larry Clark.
But what really kills this is the notion of magic. In the original, the world of observation enters a world of influence. All the influence is external, not internal as they would have here.
Too bad. I think someone can made a good and popularly effective film something like this, but this ain't it.

OK, so as a spoof goes, this film could be better. However, do I like it? Yes? Why? Because I am an Erotic Witch myself and love watching anything Witchy and erotic.
The filming has been done almost as well as the film upon which this is based and the writer has made a good attempt to connect with the viewer, exciting their erotic sexual energies through a slow, sensual build up.
The fast-paced, dramatic, fear inducing beginning was curious to sit through, due to the fact that because you know it's called 'The Erotic Witch Project' and are fully aware that at some stage during the film, something erotic has to happen, you do tend to get quite impatient.
I would have added 'naughty whispers' that blow like a sexual audio breeze through the trees.
Does it offer a good release once it has teased and tormented? Well, I do better in my live cam shows actually, but it does deliver a good amount of erotic girl-on-girl that will make you want to come back for more.
I would have liked to have seen more 'real' magic physically acted and actually seen erotic spells being performed, but then that's me. I will always want more, it is part of my erotic nature and a genuine desire for film.
Would I watch it again. For sure, but I would prefer to watch it when I have someone sexy to act it out with! Divine Blessings Melanthe xxx

The Erotic Witch Project (1999) was one of the many soft-core parodies of the surprise box office hit The Blair Witch Project. I have seen them all and this one is the best of the lot. Unlike the others, this one delivers on what they promised. The tale focuses on three women (Victoria Vega, Dariane Caine and Katie Keane) who are on a trip through the woods of New Jersey looking for the "Erotic Witch". This "movie" has it all, hot women and steamy action. I am a big fan of femme-on-femme films and this one is at the top of my list!
Highest recommendation!

This movie is the funniest spoof I have ever seen. And better than any XXX movie ever. I hope to see the blonde in many, many more movies. I never thought that anyone could make a movie for this cheap that is this good.

In a fairly straightforward "erotic" take on The Blair Witch Project, Katie (Laurie Wallace) is doing a documentary on the Erotic Witch, and has her friends Darian (Darian Caine) and Vikki (Victoria Vega) come along. They interview some people, find some mystery items in the woods, lose the map, etc. Where BWP had a lot of profanity, this one has a lot of nudity and lesbian sex.
The movie is not particularly strong as a spoof. It doesn't try to be funny very often.
There's a gorilla in the woods. A low budget movie with someone in a gorilla suit is usually a mark of a bad movie, and for a recent movie to have that is the filmmakers' way of saying they know they're a bad movie.
Laurie Wallace returns in EWP3 as Martha Rudolf. Darian Caine returns as Darian in EWP2, as Karen in EWP3, and as Captain Caine in EWP4. Vega evidently had other things to do.
EWP is one of many BWP spoofs, but one of only two that made it to a fourth installment, the other being The Bare Wench Project.
The movie is not particularly strong as a spoof. It doesn't try to be funny very often.
