A breathe of fresh air !

Mr.Yogi was most probably my first experience of watching the late Mohan Gokhale in his prime. Growing up in a country where the socio-political scenario never really made way to good comedies on TV, Mr.Yogi was a wonderful breathe of fresh air. I remember not missing a single episode of this well directed (by Ketan Mehta) comic-tragic series where Yogesh Ishwarlal Patel, an NRI (Non Resident Indian) returns to Bombay for a bride! Little does he know what circus awaits him here.

The one episode that sticks out for me is when he meets Radha Seth who is taller than him and tells him she will cut off her legs to marry him! Om Puri plays the "sutradhaar" (narrator) who tells us about Yogi's state of affairs.

As it turns out in the end, the narrator himself is in for a pleasant surprise(shock?) when he figures out who Yogi eventually ends up marrying.

I recommend all lovers of good and wholesome television entertainment in India to watch it.

A definite 10/10 for this timeless classic.
