These 4 separate stories were actually classical Peking Opera plays and they were brilliant when performed in the original Mandarin. The Hong Kong film crew attempted to convert it to Cantonese but since the two dialects are as different as Korean and English, all words must be rewritten and this rewrite lost the originality.
