A bad misogynist film
www-yfm15 September 2014
I bought the DVD on impulse, seeing that Sheela was in the movie and the price was very cheap. However, the film itself is a huge disappointment. It starts with redemption of Jayarajan (Satyan), a simple man who was kind towards not just to the people around him, but to every living creature around him. He never harmed any one in word or deed.It gave the impression that the film would deal with people's (society) preference . The film then shifts into a romantic movie about Sheela's and K.P Ummar's characters. Then it gets more serious as it becomes about one day Jayarajan happens to see his wife, whom he loved more than his own life, in the arms of her paramour. In a fit of fury and jealousy, Jayarajan kills his young wife and her lover. The film lacks focus and coherence. The direction is very poor. The ending is horrendous and shows the film to be very misogynistic. The songs are too many. Although they are pleasant, they're not memorable. Personally, i only liked the title song.

The performances range from mediocre to bad. Sathyan is pretty bad. Shobha is pretty much the same as in all her films. Sheela does reasonably well but this is not among her best. This is one film that should be avoided. I wish that I could find someone so that I can give away the DVD as I want to get rid of it.
