Mammooty is a rich boy having his own family business who has many girlfriends and is happy go lucky . Ambika , his class mate joins him in his company . They fall in love eventually after a couple of duets. Sudha is his silent lover who is heart broken when he reveals his love towards her good friend Ambika . Sanely she marries some one else . Ambika gets to hear about his past girl friends but keeps an open mind and supports him . Trying to do one good deed , he ends up with some confusions between himself and Ambika. She distances herself from him as this is the last straw . He becomes an alcoholic ( they all do when their love fails ) . He tries to convince her many times but she turns a blind eye to his fate . She delivers their child without his knowledge ( bold for the 80s ) . He sees her with the baby and assumes that she has married some one else .Finally after many twists and turns ,a common friend comes out with the truth and they are reunited . Ambika looks pretty in cotton sarees . Mammooty is tall and svelte in every frame .over all a fine family movie of its days .
