This Story Is About Hanshiro Tsugumo and Motome Chijiiwa. Motome was married to Hanshiro's daughter. Their baby boy was ill. Motume had no money. He told the House of Iyi that he wanted to commit Harakiri, but just then a job opened. He, because he already declared Harakiri, had to go through with the act. He sold his swords, which were known as a samurai's soul, for his family. He had to commit Harakiri with a bamboo sword. Hanshiro then confronted the House of Iyi, wanting Saito to admit he was wrong. Hanshiro then fought and was killed.
The movie was an outstanding movie towards the end. The beginning was a little dreary and slow though. The action and suspense built toward the end and I like the fact the Motome Chijiiwa sold his sword for the sake of his family, and the fact that Hanshiro backed him up like the great father he was supposed to be to Motome. I think the fact that Motome sold his swords was a courageous act. It was a great movie.
