It's been more than a decade since the 1990s ended, yet the Internet can't seem to go a day without a reminder of the neon slap bracelets that may have been banned from your school.
Yes, we get it. Times are tough and there's comfort in reflection, but enough is enough.
Below, a final goodbye to the 90s to end the nostalgia once and for all. (We're not kidding. There are 1990 items below.)

New comic book Wednesday has come and gone. The dust at your local comic shop has settled. An eerie silence descends as you finish reading your last superhero book of the week. Now it's time for something a little more sinister. Welcome to Bagged and Boarded: comic reviews of the sick, spooky, twisted and terrifying! Doomsday.1 No. 1 When comic book legend John Byrne first delved into dramatic comics he released a full-color comic called Doomsday +1. That was back in the seventies, and it was about a few survivors of a Cold War apocalypse surfing in a fantastical world. Now Byrne's released Doomsday.1 (pronounced Doomsday Point One) as a way to revisit his early story. But this time there's nothing fantastical or Cold War about the comic. This comic features a group of scientists who orbited earth as a giant solar flare burned the whole planet to a crisp! Now they...

Where there's trouble you call...Rita Ora? If the pop star's latest St. Laurent ensemble is any indication, she was apparently as big of a fan of Darkwing Duck as the rest of us. The wide brim hat and flowing cape are too uncanny to be a coincidence. Though we do miss that hot pink lining... And if Rita is taking requests for fashion inspired by our childhood TV series, we'd really love to see her go Scrooge McDuck-chic next, directly followed by some David the Gnome couture.

Gillian Jacobs has revealed that she would love Community to parody the cartoon David The Gnome. Jacobs, who plays Britta, admitted that she doesn't know how the episode would work. "There was this show I really loved that was this animated show on Nickelodeon called David The Gnome," she told TV Squad. "I don't know if anybody remembers that show. He was a gnome and he was a doctor and he rode a fox. I don't know how that would work, but that just came (more)...

Word that Tom Bosley passed away at the age of 83 hit Twitter-Wood this afternoon. TV's father from "Happy Days," Father Dowling of "Father Dowling Mysteries" and the voice of David the Gnome, Bosley showed up in the tweets of Neil Patrick Harris, James Gunn and Michael McKean today.
In other posting, the feed got hit with a rush of photos in the last 24 hours. Jessica Alba showed herself getting ready for some "Spy Kids 4" action, while Steve Agee was palling around with Brody Stevens and Aasif Mandvi got in the shower with his clothes on. You'll find them all retweeted after the jump along with evidence that Jim Carrey's face muscles are in the best shape of his life and an idea for a new "Star Wars" film fomr the producer of "Fanboys."

We know we laugh at these Jersey Shore fools a lot: Oh, how they love to drunkenly fight, smush and smush-fight! But still, we don’t want any of them to die. We gasped in horror and held our handkerchiefs to our mouths today when we found out Snooki had to be hospitalized for alcohol poisoning during the filming of the second season. We don’t understand how that girl drinks at all, given how teeny she is. In our mind Snickers should be sipping out of a thimble, or an acorn. She should also have a pointed red hat and talk to a fox and live in a hole in the ground. Basically we want Snooki to be a little Jersey David the Gnome. But she has to stay alive to do it! A source told Radar that Snooki “was so drunk that she had to be carried out...

When a porn star tells you somebody is faking it, you sit up and take heed. And when Jenna Jameson says celebrity sex tapes are nothing much an elaborate sexy ruse, you say, “Girrrrrrrrl!” Tweeted former porn star Jameson, “Why do people do porno tapes, sell them, make boatloads of money, then Lie about being victimized. I know one girl who sold her tape herself.” Girrrrrrrrrrrl! Okay, we know what you’re thinking: Duh, Detective Jenna. Way to crack the case. But you see, the difference between Jenna Jameson saying a celeb sex tape was faux-leaked and the other 5.99 billion people who say the same thing is that Jenna knows of which she speaks. Having Jenna Jameson examine a sex tape for authenticity is like calling an expert witness to the stand at a trial. Sure, maybe they weren’t there at the exact moment it happened, but they’ve...

To this day I remember the first time I watched Fantasia — and not because I enjoyed it so much. Rather, I remember being incensed when my mom randomly turned off a show I was watching — which was either David the Gnome or Muppet Babies — to make me watch Fantasia, claiming I’d enjoy it. I think I fell asleep shortly after watching the only part I remember being entertained by, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
So I had a chuckle a little bit when I spoke with director Jon Turteltaub last week about his live-action movie version of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,...

A new kid-oriented video site Jaroo launched today, serving up episodes of around 50 children's shows, from '80s hits like Inspector Gadget to the perhaps lesser-known Siegfried & Roy cartoon. There's old-school stop-motion Paddington, Madeline, and live-action shows that I'm too old to recognize. It's a cool enough site, and it's a decent way to monetize content that's otherwise just gathering dust somewhere -- Beverly Hills Teens, anyone? Sadly, though, none of the videos are embeddable, which for me invalidates any comparisons to Hulu. Jaroo's line-up should continue to grow (it's from Cookie Jar Entertainment, which owns a vault of childrens'...

The first official image from Sony Picture Animations’ The Smurfs was posted in a magazine recently and later scanned onto the Internet for you viewing pleasure. It’s the first glimpse at the new 3-D Smurfs, and… it looks exactly like what a CGI Smurf would look like.
In fact, it might be a little too simple, like a game graphic rather than the title character in a 2010 release. I guess I’m asking for too much from a movie following the Alvin and the Chipmunks formula. But a Scarface reference? Really?
I’m assuming the blue guy featured is “Clumsy Smurf,” the center of the rumored storyline. Supposedly Clumsy is given to the main human child, Sophie, as a doll from Belgium but she soon discovers he’s a living Smurf. A twist even M. Night Shyamalan would shake his head at.
